You're reading: Naftogaz ready to take DTEK’s gas to cover Kyivenergo’s debts

National joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy is ready to take gas from the companies of DTEK Group to cover the debt of public joint-stock company Kyivenergo, the press service of the state holding reported last week.

“Taking into account the large debt for gas consumed by Kyivenergo (part of DTEK Group) to Naftogaz Ukrainy and the non-readiness of the company to settle the debts with money, Naftogaz Ukrainy is ready to take gas produced by the other enterprises of DTEK Group to cover Kyivenergo’s debt,” reads the report.

The press service said that the current debt of DTEK Group to Naftogaz Ukrainy for gas consumed is Hr 3.9 billion, including Hr 3.5 billion of the Kyivenergo’s debt, which resulted in the ongoing disconnection of hot water supply to many houses in Kyiv.
