You're reading: Naftogaz’s consumers over week cut debt to company by 11.7 percent

The consumers of Naftogaz Ukrainy (namely heating companies, combined heat and power plants, industrial enterprises) have repaid Hr 2.138 billion to the company, thereby reducing the debt by 11.7 percent compared to the previous week, to Hr 16.196 billion, the press service of Naftogaz has said.

“Over the last week heating companies and combined heat and power plants in Lviv Oblast (Hr 235 million), Chernihiv Oblast (Hr 211 million), Kyiv Oblast (Hr 156 million), Kharkiv Oblast (Hr 145 million), Khmelnytsky Oblast (Hr 136 million) and the city of Kyiv (Hr 354 million) significantly reduced their debts,” reads a statement.

PJSC Kyivenergo reduced the debt to Naftogaz by 27 percent (Hr 325 million), to Hr 892 million.

According to Naftogaz, the debt of heating companies and combined heat and power plants for natural gas used for heat production accounts for 87 percent of the total consumers’ debt. The debt of combined heat and power plants for natural gas used in electricity generation accounts for about 11 percent, that of direct industrial consumers – about 2 percent.
