The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has not decided on the inclusion of the Russian ruble in the first category of foreign currencies and using it to form foreign currency reserves in 2012, NBU Governor Serhiy Arbuzov has said.

"We’re not planning to include the Russian ruble [in the reserve currencies]. We haven’t thrown away the idea, but we’re not planning this… We’re mulling this. A decision has not yet been made," he told the press after an enlarged cabinet meeting last week.
