Washington - The Norwegian authorities are considering the possibility of joining in the EU sanctions against Russia, Bloomberg agency reported on Sept. 12.

The Norwegian parliament will hold consultations on the issues and then a decision will be taken, reads the statement by Foreign Minister of Norway Borge Brende.

According to him, these sanctions may be imposed due to Russia’s connection to destabilization of the situation in Ukraine.

Earlier, on Sept. 12, EU sanctions against 24 private persons, a number of defense industry enterprises and three oil companies came into effect. The United States has also imposed additional sanctions against Russia.
