You're reading: Obolon almost doubles net profit in 2012

Kyiv-based public joint-stock company Obolon, one of the largest breweries in Ukraine, in 2012 increased its net profit by 1.9 times compared to 2011, to Hr 223.9 million, reads a company report in the information disclosure system of the National Commission for Securities and the Stock Market.

The report says that its assets last year rose by 5.7%, to almost UAH 3.6 billion.

The undistributed profit of Obolon in 2012 came to some Hr 1.03 billion, which is 22% up on 2011.

The company’s shareholders plan to discuss the financial indicators of the company at a general meeting scheduled for April 18, 2013.

Obolon is one of the largest Ukrainian manufacturers of beer, soft drinks, low alcohol drinks, and mineral water, and is the largest Ukrainian beer exporter. The corporation consists of the main plant in Kyiv and nine enterprises in the regions.

Its main brands are Obolon, Carling, Zlata Praha, Bitburger, Hike Premium, Zibert, Desant, Zhigulevskoye, Yachminny Kolos, Zhivchik and Prozora.
