Oil extraction in Ukraine in January-July 2012 fell by 6.6% or by 96,500 tonnes year-on-year, to 1.365 million tonnes, the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry has told Interfax-Ukraine.
Production of gas condensate came to 547,000 tonnes for the period, which was 6% or 31,200 tonnes up year-on-year.
Companies run by National joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy cut oil production by 5.1% or by 68,600 tonnes, to 1.268 million tonnes, and gas condensate production grew by 2% or by 9,400 tonnes, to 470,300 tonnes.
This included Ukrnafta, which produced 5.7% less oil, or 1.166 million tonnes, and 14.2% more condensate, or 119,500 tonnes; Ukrgazvydobuvannia, which produced 1.5% more oil, or 97,000 tonnes and 0.6% less gas condensate, or 313,400 tonnes; and Chornomornaftogaz, which produced 3% more oil, or 5,200 tonnes and 8.6% less gas condensate, or 37,400 tonnes.
Other oil and gas extraction companies working in Ukraine produced 22.4% les oil, or a total of 96,650 tonnes, and 39.8% more gas condensate, or a total of 76,840 tonnes.
The joint venture Poltava Petroleum Company reduced oil and gas condensate production by 42.7%, to 45,799 tonnes, production at Ukrkarpatoil Ltd. slipped 1.9%, to 32,061 tonnes, production at Naftogazvydobuvannia slumped 7.3%, to 18,845 tonnes, production at Natural Resources fell by 18.1%, to 10,552 tonnes, and production at Boryslav Oil Company was down by 4.7%, to 6,989 tonnes.
However, production doubled to 19,980 tonnes at joint venture Kashtan Petroleum Ltd., and rose 15.6%, to 19,092 tonnes, at Ukrnaftoburinnia. Production at Regal Petroleum skyrocketed by 25.7 times, to 7,766 tonnes, that for Cub-Gas LLC soared by 3.8 times, to 5,024 tonnes, production at VKF Dion LLC grew by 45.4%, to 1,480 tonnes, production at Plast company was up by 10.4%, to 1,207 tonnes, production at Krymtopenergoservice rose by 25.2%, to 1,204 tonnes and production at astern Geology Union LLC jumped by 2.1 times, to 1,189 tonnes.
Oil production in Ukraine slumped 6.3%, to 2.409 million tonnes in 2011, and gas condensate production fell 6.4%, to 916,600 tonnes.
