Pavel Cetkovsky was appointed chief executive officer at Erste Bank, the Ukrainian branch of Erste Group, one of the leading banks in Central and Eastern Europe, headquartered in Austria.
In his new role, Cetkovsky is responsible for risk management, information technology, organization, banking operations, communication and human resources. Cetkovsky, a Czech expatriate who has worked for Erste Bank in Ukraine since its foundation in 2006, started out developing the bank’s regional network.
Cetkovsky then worked in risk management and also participated in the development of information technology, successfully implementing a new IT system for the Ukrainian branch. Prior to working for Erste Group in Ukraine, Cetkovsky worked for Ceska Sporitelna, a branch of the Erste Group in the Czech Republic, for 11 years.
Cetkovsky graduated from the Brno University of Technology in the Czech Republic with a degree in mechanical engineering.
