The Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, has ratified an agreement with the CIS member states on fighting car theft and ensuring the return of stolen vehicles.
Some 268 of the 347 MPs registered at the parliament's session supported this decision on Tuesday, Sept. 18.
Ukraine signed the agreement in Moscow on November 25, 2005. The document is aimed at development of necessary legislation for Ukraine's coordination and cooperation with the CIS member states in the sphere of the prevention of car theft and protecting the rights and legal interests of Ukrainian citizens.
