Poland's gas transportation system operator, Gaz System S.A., is ready to renew gas supplies to Ukraine via the Hermanowice gas metering station at the volumes ordered by the client, the company said on its Web site.

“Gaz System declares that the gas transmission system is balanced and the situation with gas supplies from the east is being constantly monitored,” the company said.

Poland froze gas supplies to Ukraine on Sept. 10 due to the fact that Gazprom failed to meet Poland’s demand for gas supplies for Sept. 15 by 20 percent, for Sept. 16 by 24 percent and for Sept. 17 by 45 percent.

Ukraine has the pipeline capacity to import up to 4 million cubic meters of gas a day from Poland.
