Ukraine expects that Russia will make the next payment for gas transit in November, Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yuriy Prodan has said.

“As for the transit, the next payment, as far as I understand, should come in November,” he told reporters on Nov. 5.

As reported, Ukraine has repeatedly received advance payments for future natural gas transit through its territory from Gazprom. In July 2013, Gazprom said it had provided advance payments for gas transit to Naftogaz until 2015. According to Gazprom, the total amount of advance payments for gas transit from the beginning of 2012 amounted to $5.15 billion.
