NOVO-OGARYOVO - There has been no violation of the gas contract with Ukraine on the part of Gazprom, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

“Gazprom is honoring the contract signed in 2009 and last October’s addendum thereto. In full accordance with this contract, (the company) has been supplying prepaid gas to Ukraine in quantities that Ukraine needs,” said Putin, responding to a question posed by Interfax at a press conference held after a meeting with his Cypriot counterpart on Feb. 25.

“Gazprom is not committing any violation,” the president stressed.
