PJSC Pyriatyn cheese factory (Poltava Oblast), one of the largest cheese making enterprises in Ukraine, in January - June 2015 saw a net loss of Hr 4.535 million against Hr 28.924 million of net profit during the same period in 2014.

According to a company report, its net sales income in the first half of 2015 decreased by 29 percent, to Hr 295.403 million.

Gross profit in January – June amounted to Hr 37.977 million, which is almost two times less than in 2014. Operating profit decreased by 3.6 times, to Hr 12.785 million.

During the first half of 2015 the plant sold 1,250 tonnes of cheese and 1,014 tonnes of processed cheese. For the same period last year it sold 1,943 tonnes of hard cheese and 679.1 tonnes of processed cheese.

Pyriatyn cheese factory is part of Milk Alliance, created in June 2006 as a holding company with a charter capital of Hr 23.5 million, with long-term financial investment accounting for 99 percent.

Milk Alliance unites Pyriatyn cheese factory, Bashtanka cheese factory, Horodenka, Trostianets, Novoarkhanhelsk and Zgurivka cheese factories, Zolotonosha butter factory, as well as Varvamaslosyrzavod and Etalonmolprodukt, and Etalon trade house sales companies.
