You're reading: Real wages in Ukraine 13.5 percent down in November

Real wages in Ukraine (excluding Crimea and Sevastopol) in November 2014 fell by 13.5 percent from November 2013 and 1.2 percent from October 2014, the State Statistics Service has said.

At the same time, some
regions saw an increase in real wages of full-time employees in November 2014
year-over-year. Among them are Dnipropetrovsk region with a 12.6 percent rise,
Zaporizhia region with an 11.9 percent rise, Zakarpattia region with an 11.7
percent rise, Khmelnytsky region with a 10.6 percent rise, Zhytomyr region with
a 9.1 percent rise, Ivano-Frankivsk region with an 8.8 percent rise, and
Ternopil region with an 8.7 percent rise.

Real wages in the city of
Kyiv in November 2014 grew by 9.4 percent from November 2013.

The State Statistics
Service said that the average wages of full-time employees in Ukraine in
November 2014 from October 2014 was 0.7 percent up to Hr. 3,534 against Hr.
3,509 in October, Hr. 3,481 in September, and Hr. 3,370 in August.

In November 2014 the
highest rate of wages of full-time employees was registered in Kyiv, where it
was Hr. 5,494, while Ternopil region saw the lowest wage being Hr. 2,637.

In November 2014, the
average wages in Donetsk region stood at Hr. 4,057 (Hr. 3,764 in October, Hr.
3,553 in September, and Hr. 2,964 in August) and in Luhansk region at Hr. 3,399
(Hr. 2,980 in October, Hr. 3,208 in September, and Hr. 2,797).
