You're reading: Revenues from Ukrainian ferrous metal exports 12.2 percent down in H1

Ukrainian metallurgical enterprises in January-June 2013 reduced revenues from exports of ferrous metals by 12.2 percent compared to January-June 2012, to $7.335 billion.

According to the customs statistics promulgated by the Income and Tax
Ministry, the share of ferrous metals in the first six months of this
year was 23.87 percent of the total volume of revenues from exports of goods
from Ukraine during this period, while in the same period last year
their share in the total exports amounted to 24.86 percent.

In June 2013, revenues from exports of ferrous metals totaled $1.188 billion.

Thus, Ukraine in January-June 2013 imported ferrous metals worth $1.091 billion, in particular in June – $200.722 million.

In addition, Ukraine in January-June 2013 exported metal goods worth
$1.351 billion, in June 2013 – $209.018 million, and imported goods in
the first half of 2013 worth $549.252 million, and in June 2013 –
$103.443 million.
