Roshen Confectionery Corporation has started building a new caramel production line on the territory of the second stage of Vinnytsia confectionery factory, commissioned in 2012.

The press service of the corporation told Interfax-Ukraine that the new facility would specialize in the production of caramel sweets. Roshen has not disclosed other details of the project.

According to the informed sources of the agency, the corporation plans to produce about 10,000 tonnes of products per month at the new production facility with the focus on exports to Europe and Asia. The first phase of this site could start operations as early as next year.

As reported, in November PJSC Vinnytsia Confectionery Factory during the public offering of 34.4 million shares on the PFTS stock exchange attracted Hr 860 million. According to PFTS, only one deal was signed with the securities. It was planned to use the funds raised to purchase new production equipment (Hr 450 million), reconstruct and modernize the existing production equipment (Hr 10 million), as well as construct production facilities (Hr 400 million).
