Moscow - Russia still has not received a request for financial assistance from Greece, but is ready to consider such a request, if it arrives, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said in an interview with CNBC.

“We can imagine any situation, so that if this petition is given to the Russian government, we, of course, will study it, taking into consideration all factors of bilateral cooperation between Russia and Greece, this is all that I can say. If it is given, we will consider it,” Siluanov said.

The new government of Greece, which is experiencing problems with servicing its sovereign debt, demonstratively distanced itself from recent announcements of the EU about the possibility of strengthening sanctions against Russia, CNBC said.
