System Capital Management Group (SCM) has decided to create a new holding company as part of its transport business - Transinvest Holding (Kyiv).

and repair of railway tracks, especially in the system of the transport
infrastructure of SCM,” reads a press release.

It is planned that the new holding will include Donbass Transport and
Industrial Enterprise LLC (Donpromtrans) and Kerch Switch Works LLC,
which previously were managed by Lemtrans LLC.

“The management of service railway assets from a single corporate
holding center will allow to not only maximize their capitalization, but
also improve the efficiency of this business management, and permit
Lemtrans to focus on its core business – freight transportation,”
Director for the Development of New Businesses at SCM Mykola Nesterenko
said.

The core business of Transinvest Holding is the construction,
modernization and repair of the upper layer of railway tracks. The main
direction is the production of crossing points for railway tracks. The
main customers of the holding’s produce will be, above all, the
industrial enterprises of SCM, including metallurgical and processing
plants, and coalmines.

The length of internal rail tracks at the SCM enterprises exceeds 3,500 km.

Andriy Shpylka has been appointed the director general of Transinvest
Holding. Previously he headed PJSC Pivnichny GOK, part of Metinvest,
which is controlled by SCM.
