The Ukrainian government expects that GDP decline by 6 percent in 2014 will be replaced by the growth of 2 percent in 2015 due to the implementation of economic reforms.

Finance Minister Oleksandr Shlapak said at a government meeting that the draft national budget for 2015 is based on such a forecast.

“Minus 6 percent would be a good result by the end of the year,” said the minister.

According to him, the average annual inflation in 2015 is projected at 13 percent.

The minister said that the government had planned for two scenarios for the development of the macroeconomic situation: one with reforms, and the other without significant changes in the current legislation.
