Joint-stock company Cherkasy Bus, which produces small-sized buses using units of Japan's Isuzu, which earlier (in the period when the company was part of Bogdan Corporation) were the main buses made by the corporation and were named Bogdan, has reported on the restyling of suburban and intercity А092 and А093 buses, with the buses being named Ataman, reads a posting on the manufacturer's Web site.

The report says that the bus structure has over 25 changes. Production technology was changed, spare parts and materials were replaced with modern ones.

The sheeting of the side-frame is an unbroken sheet of galvanized steel. The designs of the front bumper, the headlight panels, rear window and other details were changed, the volume of luggage sections and the tilt angle of their lids altered, headlights and fog-lights made by the Hella firm were used, and noise insulation and suspension were improved.

Manufacturing of Bogdan small-sized buses on the basis of Isuzu units was started at Cherkasy bus in 1999. In 2003, production of the A-092 model with a Euro-3 engine and ABS brake system was launched.

In a few years, Bogdan became a leader on the Ukrainian bus market and entered foreign markets.

In 2011, Zeta closed venture investment fund under management of Easy Life Asset Management Company (Kyiv) became the new owner of public joint-stock company Cherkasy Bus.

As of October 2011, the company held over 80% of the shares in Cherkasy Bus, and a 19% stake belongs to Bogdan Automobile House LLC.

According to the Ukrautoprom association, in 2011 the enterprise made 828 buses, a rise of 13% year-over-year.

In turn, Bogdan Corporation started producing small-sized buses on the basis of Hyundai units at its plant in Lutsk.
