You're reading: Source: Ukraine places $1.25 billion in 10-year eurobonds at 7.8%

MOSCOW - Ukraine has placed $1.25 billion in 10-year eurobonds with a semiannual coupon rate of 7.8%, a source on the financial market told Interfax-Ukraine.

The yield was set based on the yield for 10-year US Treasuries plus 618.7 basis points. Therefore, the yield on the Ukrainian eurobonds comes to 7.8%.

It was earlier reported that the yield guidance for the eurobonds placement came to 8%.

The placement organizers were JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley (B&D), Sberbank CIB and VTB Capital.

Ukraine placed $2 billion in five-year eurobonds in July with yield at 9.25%. In September, an additional $600 million in this issue was placed with yield at 7.46%.

According to the Finance Ministry’s foreign debt plan, Ukraine planned to raise UAH 18 billion in the third quarter, including around UAH 8 billion, or $1 billion, on the foreign market.
