Ukraine is planning to introduce state regulation of prices for medicine, Chairman of the state service for medicine, Oleksiy Soloviov, has said.

"We’re discussing a mechanism, how to do this… We don’t even have draft documents on the issue," he said at a press conference in Kyiv on Wednesday.

However, the Ukrainian Health Ministry, the state service for medicine and a group at the Ukrainian cabinet are studying the problem.

Soloviov said that prices of medicine are regulated by the state in all European countries, apart from Germany, Denmark and Norway.

He also said that according to general practice, a small period of time passes from the stage of discussion to the drawing up of draft documents.
