You're reading: Sukhoi plans to build 24 Superjet 100 at Komsomolsk-on-Amur plant in 2013

Khabarovsk - Komsomolsk-on-Amur aircraft maker KnAAZ, a Sukhoi subsidiary, plans to make 24 Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ-100) passenger jets in 2013, Khabarovsk territory governor Vyacheslav Shport said in his annual report to the regional legislature.

“Eleven of the planes were delivered to customers in 2012 under commercial contracts and the plan this year is for 24 planes,” Shport said.

Sukhoi Civil Aircraft delivered 12 Superjets to customers in 2012, it was reported previously, including six to Aeroflot Russian Airlines, two to SuperJet International, two to Yakutia (the receipt for the second of the two planes was signed in January 2013), one to Moskovia and one to Sky Aviation.

A total of 14 SSJ-100 aircraft are now in service. Sukhoi has firm orders for 179 of the planes.
