Tigipko: There is no link between land market and land bank

Agricultural land will not be a free article of trade, Vice Prime Minister Sergiy Tigipko has said.

"When there are such allegations, we would like to see who is intending to implement the land market? There is no link between the land market and the land bank," Tigipko sad on the air of Inter TV channel on Friday night.

"Nobody is going to say today is that agricultural land should be a free article of trade," he stressed.

"We are not ready to open the land market," said Tigipko.

As reported, the Verkhovna Rada on Thursday adopted a law on the delimitation of state and municipal land, which introduces the state land bank.
