The revenues of Ukraine's national budget in January-October 2012 came to UAH 273.4 billion, or 8.5% up year-over-year, reads a posting on the Web site of the State Treasury Service of Ukraine, referring to preliminary data.

“In January-October 2012 UAH 273.4 billion was sent to the general
and special funds of the Ukrainian national budget (including budgetary
institutions’ own revenues and subsidies from the local budget), which
is UAH 21.5 billion or 8.5% up year-over-year,” reads the report.

The general fund of the national budget over the period obtained UAH
230.6 billion, which is 8.9% up year-over-year. The special fund
received UAH 42.8 billion (including the budgetary institutions’ own
revenues and subsidies from the local budget).

The report also says that in the ten months ending October 31, 2012,
value added tax (VAT) worth UAH 39.6 billion was refunded, including UAH
19.9 billion refunded automatically.

The national budget for 2012, taking into account amendments, this
year was increased to UAH 373.96 billion in revenues, including UAH
322.23 billion for the general fund, which is 18.9% and 21.2% up on
revenues in 2011.

The expenses of the national budget for 2012 expanded under various
amendments total UAH 405.93 billion, including UAH 352.82 billion for
the general fund, which is 21.7% and 22.8% up on the 2011 budget
respectively.

The deficit limit for the 2012 national budget was set at UAH 31.13
billion, including UAH 27.24 billion for the general fund, while last
year the budget saw a UAH 23.56 billion deficit, including UAH 20.94
billion for the general fund. In the first nine months of 2011 the
deficit stood at UAH 8.2 billion.
