An Australian Newspaper in Melbourne was raided yesterday by police and journalist's computers seized following reports where the journalist had gained unauthorized access to on of the major state political parties database and downloaded private details of individuals. The police raid followed action being taken by the state electoral commission.
Big difference. In Australia media is free. In Ukraine Yanukovych decides what is allowed to be reported. Reporters that hack into personal files that are not otherwise public should be prosecuted. However in Ukraine the media can not report on public events without fear of persecution.
