You're reading: UIA plans to submit application to perform Kyiv-Toronto flight from summer 2014

Kyiv, September 20 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine International Airlines (UIA, Kyiv) plans in the near term to file an application with the aviation authorities to carry out flights between Kyiv and Toronto (Canada), UIA Corporate Secretary Yevhenia Satska has told Interfax-Ukraine.

She said that the airline plans to launch the said flights in the summer of 2014, although the airline has not determined the exact date.

As reported, UIA filed an application to perform Kyiv-New York flights in the summer of 2014.

UIA was founded in 1992. The company has been fully privatized. The airline’s base airport is Boryspil International Airport (Kyiv). In 2013, the air carrier aims at boosting passenger transportation by 60.7% from 2012, to 4.5 million people.

UIA’s fleet consists of 37 aircraft: 31 Boeing 737, one Boeing 767 and five Embraer 190 aircraft.
