Ukraine's 2012 grain harvest could weigh in at 47.2 million tonnes, deputy chief of the country's Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry's department for economic development and the agrarian market Serhiy Petrenko said.

"According to preliminary estimates, we had said that we’ll gather in 45-46 million tonnes of grain in the 2012-2013 marketing year [July to June]. We have updated that figure now. As of May 28, it is 47.2 million tonnes of all [kinds of] grain across Ukraine," Petrenko said at the Agro Industry Forum-2012 in Kyiv on May 29.
