You're reading: Ukraine exports 20 million tons of grain by January 6

Grain exports from Ukraine, from the beginning of the current market year (MY, July 2014-June 2015), and as of January 6 amounted to 19.6 million tonnes, according to the Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food’s press service.

According to its data, the country exported 8.16 million tonnes of wheat, 3.63 million tonnes of barley, and 7.61 million tonnes of maize.

As reported, with reference to Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food data, grain exports from Ukraine in the 2013/2014 market year amounted to 32.4 million tonnes, 42.1% more than in the previous year. In 2013 Ukraine harvested a record high grain harvest of nearly 63 million tonnes.
