You're reading: Ukraine exports 28,5 million tonnes of grain as of April 2014

Kyiv, April 15 – Ukraine since the beginning of this agricultural year (July 2013 – June 2014) as of April 14, 2014 had exported 28,48 million tonnes of grain, which is 8.4 tonnes more year-over-year, the press service of the Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry of Ukraine has reported.

According to the ministry, over the period 7,99 million tonnes of
wheat, 2,15 million tonnes of barley and 18,05 million tonnes of corn
had been exported.

As reported, referring to the State Statistics Service, Ukraine in
2013 harvested almost 63 million tonnes of grain, which is 36,3 percent up on
2012.

The ministry predicts that grain exports from Ukraine will total 33 million tonnes in the 2013/14 agri-year.
