The interdepartmental commission on international trade has initiated an antidumping investigation into imports to the country of rubber conveyor belts with a width of 800 to 1,200 mm (foreign trade code 4010 12 00 10).
According to a statement by the commission in the Uriadovy Kurier newspaper, the initiator of the investigation is Arlite LLC (Donetsk).
“The complaint contains enough well-founded information, on the basis of which it can be concluded that in the period from June 2012 to May 2013 conveyor belts of Russian origin had been imported to Ukraine at a price lower than on the domestic market of the Russian Federation,” reads the report.
According to the commission, Russian exporters have the sufficient potential to increase dumping exports to Ukraine.
The registration of parties interested in the investigation is carried out during 30 days from the date of the publication of this report.
Arlite LLC, which is engaged in the production of rubber goods, in 2012 saw its net income fall by 17.4%, to UAH 165.18 million, while its net profit fell by 45.3%, to UAH 8.82 million. The enterprise is managed by its owner Roman Remizov.
According to the State Statistics Service, imports of conveyer belts reinforced only with textile materials (broader code 4010 12 00 00) in January-September this year were $36.37 million, in particular from Russia – $10 million, while exports – $980,000.
