You're reading: Ukraine pays $23.625 million for 2007 eurobonds

Ukraine's Finance Ministry has paid $23.625 million on eurobonds of the year 2007, according to a posting on the ministry's Web site on May 14.

The ministry said that in November 2007 Ukraine placed eurobonds worth $700 million at 6.75% per annum. The bonds fall due in 2017.

According to the State Treasury Services, from January 1 to May 14, 2012, a total of Hr 7.404 billion was paid from the general fund of Ukraine’s national budget to service state debt (including Hr 1.772 billion to service foreign debt), and Hr 13.145 billion to repay state debt (including Hr 1.274 billion to repay foreign debt).

Over this period, Ukraine placed domestic bonds worth Hr 29.225 billion, with bond placements scheduled for January-April 2012 estimated at Hr 30.36 billion and for May at Hr 20.17 billion. Eurobonds were not placed this time.
