The Ukrainian government intends to revise the state budget within the first two months of 2012 based on revisions in gas prices.

"Based on the two months, we will revise the budget in connection with revised gas prices," Ukrainian Finance Minister Fedir Yaroshenko told the parliament on Thursday during discussions of the draft budget for 2012.

The draft budget does not include financing for national projects, although these projects have already been developed. The possibility for financing such projects will appear after the government revises the budget figures, he said.

"We will free up resources, and we will revise and propose changes to the state budget for 2012 that would allow for financing national projects in full," Yaroshenko said.
