You're reading: Ukrainian fishermen get access to EU market

Brussels, March 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukrainian flagged fishing vessels, which catch fish in international waters, have been allowed selling their products on the European Union market, the Mission of Ukraine to the European Union has told Interfax-Ukraine in Brussels on Friday.

The decision has been made by the EU Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries.

Thus, Ukrainian flagged fishing vessels, which catch fish in international waters, will be able to sell own products for supplies to the European markets.

The decision of the EU Commission makes possible exports of bio-resources caught by Ukrainian flagged fishing vessels under national and international fishing laws without additional ratification procedures.
