You're reading: Ukravtodor finishes pre-project work on construction of new Kyiv-Dnipropetrovsk highway

The State Road Agency of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) has finished pre-project work on the construction and reconstruction of the Kyiv-Cherkasy-Dnipropetrovsk highway, the press service of the Ukrainian Infrastructure Ministry has reported.

 The press service said that the new highway of 394.1 kilometers would pass through Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

Some 66.8 kilometers of the highway will be built in Kyiv region, 159.3 kilometers in Cherkasy region, 81.5 kilometers in Kirovohrad region and 86.5 kilometers in Dnipropetrovsk region.

The Kyiv-Cherkasy-Dnipropetrovsk highway route was agreed with regional and district administrations.

The approximate cost of the construction and reconstruction of the Kyiv-Cherkasy-Dnipropetrovsk highway amounts to Hr 23.468 billion.

Earlier Vice Premier and Infrastructure Minister Borys Kolesnikov said that in the coming years the trans-Ukrainian highway will be built from Krakovets (Lviv region) to Uspenka (Luhansk region) and it will take 14 hours to drive. The Kyiv-Cherkasy-Dnipropetrovsk highway will be part of the highway.
