You're reading: Ukrenergo sees 4.7 percent fall in power transmission via trunk power grids

National energy company Ukrenergo in January-June 2015 cut electricity transmission through the country's backbone and interstate power grids by 4.7 percent, or by 3.034 billion kWh, to 61.687 billion kWh, the company's press service has reported.

Over the period under review, the cost of the company’s electricity transmission services grew by 17.4 percent, or by Hr 270.588 million, to Hr 1.822 billion.

At the same time, Energomarket’s payments to Ukrenergo for services provided in January-June as of July 1, 2015 stood at 78.5 percent.

Financing of capital investment in the development of the country’s backbone and interstate power grids reached Hr 1.322 billion in the first six months of 2015, which was 39.9 percent or Hr 377.174 million more than in January-June 2014.

Ukrenergo operates Ukraine’s backbone and interstate power grid and supervises the country’s national grid. It is a state-owned company and is controlled by the Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Ministry.
