PJSC Ukrgazvydobuvannia evaluates its losses from military operations and thefts of corporate property in the east of Ukraine at Hr 120 million, the company's press service said on Aug. 19.

The company says that there are 20 corporate facilities in the zone of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) now, namely 13 gas treatment units belonging to the company’s branch Shebelynkagazvydobuvannia, five drilling rigs and one service base belonging to the branch Burgaz.

“Since the beginning of the ATO, the company had to halt work at most of seized production facilities. Yet, as of today work of Borovska, Kapitanivska, Murativska gas treatment units has been restored. The functioning of other production facilities has been stalled,” Chairman of Ukrgazvydobuvannia’s board Serhiy Kostiuk said.

In addition, the company faced numerous thefts of its property during the ATO.

As a result of this, the company’s total losses from hostilities in the east of Ukraine have hit Hr 120 million.

As reported, Ukrgazvydobuvannia increased gas production by 0.6 percent in 2013, to 15.109 billion cubic meters (72 percent of total gas extraction in the country), including a rise of 0.9 percent in production of natural gas, to 14.894 billion. The company cut oil production by 14 percent, to 11,550 tonnes and gas condensate production by 22.7 percent, to 36,790 tonnes.

Ukrgazvydobuvannia is the largest natural gas producer in the country, accounting for about 75 percent of the total gas production in Ukraine.
