PJSC Ukrtransgaz, the operator of Ukraine's gas transportation system, intends to close down five branches and offices, reads a company report.

The branches to be closed are Ukravtogaz Management, United Dispatch Management, and Normative-Analytical Center, all of which are in Kyiv, and Directorate for the Construction and Operation of the Dzhankoi-Feodosia-Kerch Gas Pipeline, which is in Simferopol, as well as the company representative office in Belarus (Mozyr).

Ukrtransgaz operates Ukraine’s system of trunk gas pipelines and 12 underground gas storage facilities. The throughput capacity of Ukraine’s gas transportation system is 288 billion cubic meters (bcm) at intake and 178.5 bcm at outtake, including 142.5 bcm to Europe and 3.5 bcm to Moldova. The total length of the pipelines the company operates is 38,600 kilometers, including 22,200 km of trunk pipelines and 16,400 km of branch pipelines.
