You're reading: UkrVinProm questions Belarusian complaints about Inkerman wine quality

UkrVinProm Ukrainian Viticulture and Winemaking Corporation has said the complaints from Belarus about the quality of wine produced by Inkerman Vintage Wine Factory are unjustified.

“Until today there have been no complaints regarding the quality of
the ordinary and vintage wines issued by the enterprises. That’s why
such a negative estimation of the organoleptic qualities of Inkerman
wine, made by one of the leading winemaking enterprises of Ukraine,
especially by the representatives of a country that doesn’t have its own
vineyards and winemaking branch at all, is a cause for surprise,” the
corporation’s press release reads, referring to its director general,
Volodymyr Kucherenko.

According to him, the output of the Inkerman factory regularly
receives high estimates from the specialists of the central sampling
commission of Ukrvinprom, which consists of representatives of Ukrainian
winemaking enterprises and executive agencies that regulate this
sector.

The quality of the Ukrainian produce, including the products of the
Inkerman Vintage Wine Factory, have also been highly estimated by the
International Vine and Wine Organization, he added.

As reported, the scientific and practical center of the National
Academy of Sciences of Belarus from July 22 canceled a conformity
certificate issued for the output of the Inkerman factory. The
Belarusian side said the batch sample did not conform to state standards
according its organoleptic indicators.

Inkerman International Group is an international winemaking holding
with a closed production cycle founded in early 2011. It incorporates
Inkerman Fine Vintage Wine, Kachinsky+ LLC and private joint-stock
company Chornomorets agrofirm. The total area of vineyards of all
companies is 2,790 hectares.
