The State Railway Administration of Ukraine (Ukrzaliznytsia) in 2012 plans to see UAH 496.4 million in net profit, and losses from passenger transportation will come to UAH 7.2 billion.
Ukrzaliznytsia told Interfax-Ukraine that the indicators are stipulated in the consolidated financial plan of Ukrainian railways for 2012, which was approved under cabinet resolution No. 638-r of September 3, 2012.
According to the plan, revenues from regular operations in 2012 will total UAH 57.2 billion, including UAH 48.1 billion in revenues from shipments and UAH 9.1 billion in other revenues. Revenues from cargo shipment will amount to UAH 41.7 billion and that from passenger transportation – UAH 6.4 billion.
The expenditure of the financial plan, taking into account profit tax on usual operations stands at UAH 56.7 billion, including UAH 42.9 billion expenses on transportation and UAH 13.8 billion on other expenses. Expenses on cargo shipments will be UAH 29.2 billion and that for passenger transportation will total UAH 13.6 billion.
The railways plan to pay UAH 13.7 billion of taxes and obligatory payments to the budget and state target funds, including UAH 5 billion to the national budget.
As reported, the net profit of Ukrainian railways in 2011 was expected at UAH 706.4 million.
