You're reading: Venta pharmaceutical distributor raises 17 million dollar loan from EBRD

Venta LLC pharmaceutical distributor (Dnipropetrovsk) has raised a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in the amount of $17 million to support the investment program for 2014-2016. 

According to the bank, the company’s investment program is focused on the acquisition, expansion, modernization and automation of warehouses in Ukraine in accordance with local and international standards for the distribution of medicines and medical devices.

Venta is among the ten largest pharmaceutical distributors in Ukraine.

Its net income in 2013 increased by 24.2% compared to 2012, to Hr 3.274 million, net profit – by 57%, to Hr 29.955 million.

An 89.62% stake in the company is owned by OAO Katren (Russia), 4.4% – company head Oleksandr Voloshin, and 2.99% – Denys Arzamastsev and Borys Murylo.
