PARIS - Total SA, a French multinational integrated oil and gas company and one of the six "Supermajor" oil companies in the world, has stopped increasing its stake in Russia's second-largest gas producer OAO Novatek as it and other European firms gird for the possible impact of tougher international sanctions against Moscow.
