Ukraine's course towards integration with Europe remains unchanged, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk has said.

“This course is difficult, but it is the course that is supported by the whole Ukrainian nation and the course that the country needs. It is inevitable no matter what Russia and [Russian President Vladimir] Putin do,” he said, while opening a government meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 26.

He said he was convinced that the new government would continue to work in this direction.

Yatsenyuk said that today’s meeting would be the last meeting of the current government.

“According to the Constitution of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers terminates powers to the newly elected Verkhovna Rada. The first meeting of the new Ukrainian parliament is expected tomorrow, so today we have the last meeting of the current Ukrainian government, which has respective constitutional powers,” he said.
