Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov claims that extremist forces were involved in the seizure of administrative buildings in Kyiv amid the ongoing protests of supporters of Ukraine's European integration.

“There are extremist forces among the protesters, and these extremist
forces are seeking to seize government buildings and institutions now.
They have seized the [Kyiv] city administration building and are
blocking the work of the Ukrainian presidential administration, the
government, and our parliament,” Azarov said at an OSCE ministerial
meeting in Kyiv on Thursday.

The Ukrainian prime minister described the situation as temporary
difficulties, which will be overcome. “We are telling those who do this
that they are breaking the law, this is not the European way of
development, and we are calling for resolving all issues at the
negotiating table,” Azarov said.
