Kyiv Post's Best of Kyiv 2010: DHL

It doesn’t matter whether it’s a small business looking to move a small object, or an experienced logistics professional looking to improve air and ocean freight operations, DHL has experts to deliver personalized service for any sector.

“We deliver anything from a table to a factory,” said Oksana Bugay, DHL freight sales and business development manager.

DHL uses its global logistics know-how to its advantage, having provided services on the Ukrainian market since 1991. It has three leading divisions: DHL Express, DHL Freight and DHL Global Forwarding.

Its first office opened in Odesa. Today DHL services more than 140 cities, has six offices and 26 representative offices with more than 250 employees and a fleet of more than 70 vehicles.

In Ukraine, DHL Freight is responsible for national and international deliveries of goods by road and rail, customs and brokerage services. It also does warehousing, cross-docking and distribution.

Globally, DHL’s revenue rose 11.2 percent to $50.8 billion in the first nine months of 2010.

Deutsche Post DHL has predicted its DHL divisions will experience an annual growth of 13 to 15 percent through 2015. DHL’s 2010 year-end profit is expected to be $1.75 billion.
