The cost of real estate valuation in Ukraine, after the government's settling the situation on the valuation services market in late August 2014 by abolishing the existing form of tax assessment and the market de-monopolization, fell by four-five times, and in some cases was down ten-fold.

These data were given by the head of the council of the Ukrainian Society of Appraisers (Kyiv), Oleksiy Amfiteatrov, at the round table “The reform of valuation activities in Ukraine: urgent tasks” in Kyiv.

“The cost [of such services] declined by four-five times, in some cases – by ten times,” he said, asked about changes in property valuation due to the de-monopolization of the valuation services market.

According to the expert, today the assessment of an apartment in Ukrainian regions costs from Hr 150-200 to Hr 600-700, in the capital – from Hr 300 to Hr 1,000-1,200.

“But the average price in Kyiv is Hr 500-600,” he said.

According to the expert, the cost of estimating the price of households in Kyiv now stands at Hr 2,000-2,500.

In March-July 2014 the assessment of households in Kyiv cost Hr 12,000-15,000, apartments – Hr 1,500-5,000, and the cost of valuation services for apartments in the regions of Ukraine reached Hr 1,000-3,000, he said.
