You're reading: Houses prices in Kyiv increased up to 8% in 2012

The average price of private houses in Kyiv region in 2012 grew by 4.24%, to $1,007 per square meter, while the growth in 2011 was 1.3%, reads a press release of Kyiv-based SV Development consulting company.

The report says that the price of houses in Kyiv city grew by 7.83% in the period, to $1,272 per square meter, while in 2011 the increase was 9%.

The largest growth in the average prices of houses in the period was registered in Skvyra district – by 25%, to $285 per square meter. The biggest fall was seen in Zgurivka district – by 12.2%, to $339 per square meter.

The lowest prices of houses in Kyiv region were in Skvyra district, and the highest in Obukhiv district, with an average price of $1,540 per square meter.

The price of one square meter of housing given by SV Development includes the price of a house and a land plot.

As reported, the average price of private houses in Kyiv region in 2011 grew by 1.3%, to $965 per square meter, and in Kyiv city – by 9%, to $1,380 per square meter.
