You're reading: Investigation into training aircraft crash near Kyiv started, says PGO in Kyiv region

The investigation department of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine at the Kyiv Pasazhyrsky station of Pivdenno-Zakhidna railways has started an investigation into a crash of the Yak-52 training plane near the Chaika air field near Kyiv.

"The information about the air crash was put on the pretrial investigation register. The pretrial investigation has been stared under part 3 of Article 276 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – non-observation of traffic or aircraft operation rules by an air transport employee, which caused deaths of people," the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office in Kyiv region has reported.

As reported, one pilot was killed, and another pilot with numerous injuries was taken to one of the Kyiv's hospitals.
