Kyiv authorities expect that as a part of the resumption of land auctions revenues from the sale of land will total some Hr 500 million, head of the permanent commission for town-planning, architecture and land utilization of the Kyiv Council Volodymyr Prokopiv said at a first land auction over the past years held in Kyiv on Oct. 23.

“We hope that we’ll be able to present the larger number of land plots, and we’d like to receive around Hr 500 million from auctions,” he told reporters.

He said that the holding of land auctions in the capital will depend on the economic situation in Ukraine and its eastern regions in general.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said funds from the sale of land plots will be sent to develop infrastructure and the social area of Kyiv city.
