You're reading: Kyiv region expects over Hr 1.87 billion to be raised to develop First Ukrainian industrial park

The State Agency for Investment and National Project Management has put the First Ukrainian industrial park on the list of industrial parks, which will be built in Velyka Dymerka, Kyiv region, the press service of the agency has reported.

“Kyiv region expects that some Hr 1.88 billion will be raised for the development of the First Ukrainian industrial park. Thanks to the park Kyiv region will considerably increase its competitiveness, receive over 2,000 jobs and increase competitiveness of Ukrainian-made products and the level of the realization of the imports-replacement potential,” reads the report, citing Director of the investment policy and regional development department of the agency Vasyl Fediuk.

According to the agency, the size of a land plot for the industrial park of 105 hectares will allow developing a large industrial site for production of food, pharmaceutical, timber processing, furniture, newsprint products, car building and metal processing on its territory.

Fediuk also said that among key advantages of the First Ukrainian industrial park is closeness to Kyiv and Boryspil airport for investors, developed transport infrastructure, settlements located around the park in which skilled specialists live.

He said that over the whole period of investing in Kyiv region around $2 billion will be received, including 28 percent to Brovary District.
