Reconstruction of Andriivsky Spusk in Kyiv will require over UAH 150 million, First Deputy Head of Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Mazurchak has said.

According to him, the project for the reconstruction of Andriivsky Spusk is ready, it is being approved and accomplished with experts.

"We will definitely not finish the project this year, because it is expensive and difficult, but we have to do this by the Euro 2012 [European Football Championship]," he said.

According to Mazurchak, about Hr 100 million will be allocated from the state budget for the reconstruction of Andriivsky Spusk, and this year’s budget envisages the allocation of a part of the money.

In addition, it is planned to draw funds from business structures possessing premises on this street. First of all, out-of-date engineering networks will be replaced there. It is also planned to complete the construction of the Theatre on Podil.

Mazurchak stressed that Volodymyrska Hill will be reconstructed by the time of the Euro 2012 event. According to him, a reconstruction project has been approved under which the reconstruction of Volodymyrsky Hill will begin earlier than in Andriivsky Spusk.
